This Day-Light Classic 10,000 LUX meets the requirements to ameliorate Seasonal Affective Disorder as set out by researchers. By this, I mean it emits enough light of the proper spectrum. I use my light in the morning during winter months, and I believe I can feel the difference. It seems as if I have increased energy and feel less blah after using it for several days.

I usually get really down this time of year as we lose the light and just want to sleep. I found two brands that met my criteria, and found this one on Amaz** for about $66 less than list price. The lamp is big but it still can fit on my desk (it has a pop out metal stand on the back of the lamp) next to my computer when I work, or on my bathroom counter while I get ready for work. It's extremely light.
