Carex Health Brands Day-Light Classic 10000 LUX SAD Lamp DL930

I live in Minnesota where it's winter about 65% of the year. A lot of cold, dark mornings where your alarm goes off and you want to stay in a warm snuggly bed because there's not a shred of sunlight to be found.

This Carex Health Brands Day-Light Classic 10000 LUX SAD Lamp DL930 is REALLY working for me this year, partly because I've repositioned it. I now put it on a coffee table in front of my sofa, and drag the coffee table as close to my knees as I can.
I would recommend this Carex Health Brands Day-Light Classic to anyone who has the winter blahs or who suffers from depression or similar disorders.
There are more high-tech, pricier models out there with other bells and whistles, but If you've never used a SAD lamp before, and want a good, basic model that delivers the light in the intensity that you need to beat the winter blues -- this is the best one for the price by far.
This gives me a lot of bright, up-close light. I will try to post a picture of me in front of the light and coffee table. (I'm wearing a yellow long-sleeve shirt.) The Uplift Day-Light has been unbelievable. I get up every morning with ease, I'm energetic, I don't need to nap; I'm finally free of debilitating depression. Wow! And it only took a couple days (literally) for me to realize all these beneficial effects. I have had one of these lights going on 3 years now.

Philips 433227 10.5-watt Slim Style Dimmable A19 LED Light Bulb

The Philips 433227 10.5-watt Slim Style Dimmable A19 LED Light Bulb are great. This flat bulb design is ingenious, and I suspect the loss of the material for heat sink will allow this bulb to drop greatly in price in the coming years. Is it worth the hassle for warranty replacement if buying a new bulb is $5? I recently bought a few LED bulbs at home depot, but they did not have the slim style available. I wanted to select a bulb for more general replacement around the house.
The Philips 433227 led bulbs are bright and warm. They are also much lighter and don't get nearly as hot as other LEDs I've used.
I bought tons of these for my house, my whole house is LED now! Love them! I haven't heard any buzzing yet. Got them for 2$ a piece at my local Home Depot
Price is right. I had the bulbs in a lamp shade, and they worked fine, but in another room with a glass dome on a ceiling light, the emitted light was a little too direct. This made harsh shadows and other undesirable components to the light. In the ceiling dome fixture it was a much more diffused light with the slimstyle. There is a reason these bulbs are currently the number one selling LED light bulb on Amazon right now and that is because they are that good.

G7 Power Elko LED 15 Watt (85W) BR30 Recessed Light Bulb Dimmable 2700K

In my kitchen I have 6 lights that require this size of bulb. Because I've had to replace some of the bulbs over the years, I had 3 CFL's and 3 Incandescent bulbs installed. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the color of light from the G7 Power Elko LED 15 Watt (85W) 1100 Lumen BR30 Recessed Light Bulb, Dimmable 2700K Warm White Light appears to be the exact same as my incandescent bulb. Additionally, the LED bulb lights instantly, just like the incandescent. I have been monitoring BR30 bulbs on the market for a long while, waiting for the brightness to reach 1000 lumens.
LED 15 Watt (85W) 1100 Lumen BR30 Recessed Light Bulb
The life expectancy of this bulb is for the long haul. You will save a ton of money in both bulbs purchased and electricity used by moving from incandescent bulbs to LEDs. Moving from CFLs, maybe not so much on the energy usage, but definitely in the quality of light over the life of the bulb.
The CFLs do have approximately 4 milligrams of mercury per bulb and need disposal at a hazardous-waste facility. Unless we experience a tremendous power surge or any other unforeseen electrical issue I expect this bulb to last. Significantly brighter than the 65W Halogens I was replacing. After a lot of research, these G7 2700K 15W BR30s were definitely the brightest BR30s available - perfect for my 2-story cathedral ceiling cans. My halogens were actually very orange at low brightness (probably down to 2000K or lower) and would get "cooler" white as brightness increased.

TCP LBR301050KND6 LED BR30 65Watt Equivalent Daylight 5000K Flood Light Bulb 6 Pack

This TCP LBR301050KND6 LED BR30 - 65 Watt Equivalent Daylight product by RoHS uses 10 Watts compared with the 63 Watt incandescent light bulb it replaced. According to the manufacturer the bulb should last 25,000 hours compared with the only 2000 hour life span of an incandescent bulb. This is rated for indoor/outdoor use and comes in a convenient two pack. The question for me is if LED bulbs are better than Compact Fluorescent bulbs. 14 bulbs in total.
This bulb's 650 lumens look brighter than my Philips incandescent 65Ws (rated at 700 lumens)
These are great... they seem to be equal - if not better - quality than the LED floods I purchased at the 'big box' store but have a better color, in my opinion. The color is very similar to that of a standard incandescent bulb and produces a slightly lighter than 'warm yellow' light.
This same light is available in dimmer variety and we used them with a dimmer no problem just like they say. Anyway replaced dimmer switch with regular and all works great. Easy fix as we never used the dimmer anyway. While doing that, I did notice that these bulbs are noticeably heavier than the CFLs that I was replacing. This bulb's 650 lumens look brighter than my Philips incandescent 65Ws (rated at 700 lumens), all the more because incandescents' output progressively decreases with age.
